Joyce Marie (Hanson) Macri

Joyce Marie Macri passed away peacefully at her home on April 6, 2024 at the age of 91. She was born on July 16, 1932 to the late Arthur Hanson and Amanda (Rouse) Lynes in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Joyce graduated High School from Maple Wood Academy and met the love of her life Richard, at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She helped put Richard through Dental School and set up a practice in Niles, Michigan where they would raise their family. Joyce enjoyed traveling with Richard, fishing on lake Michigan. She hosted many gatherings of friends and family over the years. Joyce was a perfectionist and wanted things to look just right, including her appearance. She was a very intelligent, classy, hardworking lady and that showed in everything she did, including the flower shop she owned.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard in 2015.

Joyce was blessed with three children, Craig Macri (Andrea Smith), Cheryl Macri and Diane Macri.

Visitation for Joyce will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, entrance off of Cherry Rd., from 4-7 p.m.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with entombment immediately following at Mission Hills Cemetery in Niles.
