Beverly Plummer, 78, of Walkerton, Indiana passed away on March 12, 2026 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Beverly was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 27, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Hudson) Haggerty. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Beverly was blessed with a second chance at love and married the love of her life Charles "Jimmy" on December 25, 1986 in Avon Park, Florida and they enjoyed a wonderful 39 years of marriage. She found the greatest joy in the simple, beautiful moments of hearing her husband play the guitar. Jimmy would play Elvis and the Beatles which were a favorite of Beverly's. She worked at Martins for 11 years in the deli department and was head of the kitchen for Martins Fresh.
Many hours were spent with Jethro Gibbs solving the toughest cases on NCIS. When not playing detective, Beverly loved the wonder and excitement of American's Got Talent and The Voice. She also enjoyed her cats and found comfort and peace in their companionship.
A passionate gambler, she loved to "test her luck" at the casino and rarely walked away emptied handed. Beverly was always ready to try her luck on the penny slots while accompanied by her husband, Charles "Jimmy".
Left to cherish Beverly's memories are her husband, Charles "Jimmy", her brother, James Haggerty, her son's, Alfred Jr. and Michael Lewis, her daughter, Barbara Short and her four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Doris Haggerty and her brothers, Joseph and Earl Haggerty and her sister Marie Corderre.
