Doris Marie Bartlett

Doris Marie (Weinman) Bartlett, 88, passed away peacefully October 27, 2025.

Born November 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Irene (Lab) Weinman.

On December 28, 1960, Doris married Willis “Bud” Bartlett, Sr. and they were blessed with two sons Ed Bartlett of Nashville, NC and Brian (Veronica) Bartlett of South Bend. She is also survived by five grandchildren Marina, Antonia, John and Scott (Amby) Bartlett and Jacob Kyle and one great grandchild Isabella Bartlett. She was known as the Matriarch of the Weinman family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Doris obtained a Diploma of Nursing from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science from The Ohio State University. She worked in pediatrics and oncology. Doris was a Professor of Nursing at Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Indiana University of South Bend, and Bethal College.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice of Mishawaka
