Edward was the son of William and Anna (Punter) Eilerman. Edward was born in Chicago on January 9, 1929. His parents immigrated from Germany and settled in Hartford, Michigan. After graduating from a one room school house, he worked along with his dad on their small fruit farm. Edward took loving care of his parents until their passing. He also served as Hartford Treasurer for 29 years. After his retirement he moved to Mishawaka to be near family.
His only sister Elizabeth (Eilerman) Terry, his brother-in-law Glenn Terry, as well as his beloved niece, Patricia Douglas preceded him in death.
He is survived by his nephews Michael (Janet) Terry, Michael Douglas, his niece Amy (Eugene) Dylewski and many great nephews and nieces and their joyful children.
Edward was a very private man and led a simple life where he was taught hard work and wisdom can get you far. He will be laid to rest in a private family gathering in Hartford, Michigan.
