Elizabeth Ann Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana, at the age of 84. Born on July 10, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Whitford Julius and Evelyn Adeline (Heuchel) Kuhn, Elizabeth dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, embodying the values of compassion and service that defined her career.

Elizabeth's commitment to nursing was matched only by her love for her family. She married Gerald William Miller on December 5, 1959 in Willmette, Illinois. To their union they were blessed with four children: Peggy (Jeff) Lavey, Scott (Jan) Miller, Julie (Rick) Engel, and Caren (Paul) Markee, who cherish her memories and the countless lessons she imparted throughout their lives. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Stephanie (Terrace) Clayton, Sara (Justin williams) Lavey, Chris (Kelley) Miller, Kylie (Ryan Rhodehamel) Miller, Hannah (Bryce) Klieman, Maggie Miller, Jacob (Katie) Engel, Caitlin (Scott Reasor) Engel, Bryan (Jessica) Markee, and Elizabeth (Sean Deem) Markee, as well as her seven great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

A loving sister, Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings: Evelyn Blachman, Ellen Gramme, Janet Leach, and Joan Dudenhausan. Her family has been a source of strength and companionship throughout her life, a bond that will forever hold their hearts. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and generosity.

Elizabeth had a zest for life that extended beyond her profession. She enjoyed sailing in her youth and found joy in playing golf, knitting, cross-stitching, and sewing beautiful things, which were not just hobbies but outlets for her creative spirit. Her passion for baking was well-known among her friends and neighbors, as she loved sharing sweet treats that brightened their days and nurtured her community connections.

Though she experienced the loss of her beloved husband, Gerald, in 2023; and brothers, Whit Khun and Wayne Kuhn, Elizabeth's loving spirit remained unwavering. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the unyielding love she provided to all those fortunate enough to know her.

As we celebrate Elizabeth Ann Miller's life, we remember her for the grace with which she navigated her journey, leaving a legacy of love, service, and family that will endure for generations to come. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will always remain in the hearts of those she touched.

No services are planned for Elizabeth at this time.
