Gerald “Jerry” Warren Droppo passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 with his family by his side at the age of 74. He was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to the late Warren Harvey and Delores (Adamson) Droppo of January 14, 1950.
Jerry loved his country and attended the Air Force Academy where he played hockey. He served in the United States Air Force for 26 years as a pilot. After retiring, he became an engineer working for GM. Jerry loved spending time with his family on the boat or just being together at the lake. He was generous with his time and could always be found helping someone in need. He was a member of the Diamond Lake Howell Point Association.
Jerry was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he remained close to his men’s Friday morning bible study, This Man is You, and a small Sunday bible study group which he attended with Judy.
Jerry’s memory will be treasured by his wife of 24 years, Judy; his daughter, Jessica Droppo-Meyer (Brent Haley); step-daughters, Amy Webster, Kathy (Matt) James and Melissa (Steve) Raniszewski; grandchildren: Lucas and Orion Meyer, Bailey Bailiff (Max), Austin Bailiff, Katelyn James (Chris), Madeline James (Chris) , Ava, Sam and Matthew Raniszewski; brothers, Don (Linda) Droppo and Ron (Shelly) Droppo; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Visitation will take place following the Rosary until 6:00 p.m., where a vigil will then take place.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 N. Fir Rd., Granger, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Jerry will be cremated per his wishes and buried at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park at a later date.
