Joyce P. Reiners

Joyce P. Reiners, 90, passed away peacefully at her Arborwood residence in Granger on August 1, 2022, with her loving husband by her side. Born August 30, 1931 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Hasch) Proffitt. She was also preceded in death by five siblings: William, Charles, Richard and RaymondProffitt, and Shirley Landwerlen. On November 2, 1985, Joyce married Rudolph "Rudy" Reiners who survives her. Also left to cherish her memory is her daughter, LaFon (William) Davis; and three stepchildren, Lauren (Jeff) McFadden of Elkhart, Kurt (Sandra) Reiners of Elkhart, and Bradley (Tracy) Reiners of Cedar Rapids, IA. Joyce and Rudy's combined family includes 10 grandchildren: Zachery, Tyler, Benjamin, Lauren, Kurt, Bradley Jessica, Faith, Andrew and Cassie; 8 great-grandchildren: Blake, Colton, Chloe, Colette, Everly, Emmaline, Parker, and Eleanore; and many nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Jeanne, predeceased Joyce. Joyce was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her family, reading, travel, playing the organ and TV. She had worked as a secretary, manager of a musical instrument catalog company and was an owner of her own manufacturing company. Per her request, Joyce will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 20, from 2-4 p.m. in the dining room at the Village at Arborwood.
