Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Kim Laurie Vrana announce her passing on May 4, 2025 at Beacon Memorial Hospital under the angel care of nurse Emily.
Kim was a life-long resident of South Bend, born on March 7, 1962 and attended John Adams high school and Holy Cross College. Kim is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Ron Vrana; sons, Michael (Shannon) Vrana, and Ryan Vrana; grandson, Kylo Vrana; brother, Bradford (Susan) Chambers; brother in law, Ken Vrana; sister in law, Fay Brink; nieces Christina (Chambers) Denali and Courtney (Chambers) Perry; nephew Brandon Chambers; and her fur baby, Piper.
Kim, was always the most devoted baseball mom, lover of her cherished cocker spaniels and all things beautiful, was also a breast cancer survivor and dedicated employee of J.C. Penney’s of 35 years. Her greatest joy of late was being grandma to precious 2 yr. old Kylo.
She lived a life deeply devoted to her family, faith, community and she brought joy & light to everyone she knew. Love and a most generous heart was her guiding principles.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the McGann Hay, University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Rd., South Bend, on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 5-7pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church at 10am.
