Marissa A. Kasarov

Marissa Kasarov, 41, of Granger, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Marissa was born on April 25, 1985, in Arlington, Texas, to Gary and Karen (Dillard) Snell. She married Alexander Kasarov in August 2012 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Alex; her three children, Silas, Mia, and Lundi Kasarov; her parents, Gary and Karen Snell; and her sister, Kary (Derek) Moon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas H. and Alice Ada Snell and A.C. and Mary Dillard.

Marissa was a multi-talented marketing professional who served as Vice President and Creative Director at SunnySide Social Media. Throughout her life, both professionally and personally, Marissa gave her time generously and wholeheartedly. To know Marissa was to know a fierce, brilliant, passionate, and deeply empathetic soul who would move mountains for the people she loved. She possessed a tenacity unlike anything the world had seen before, a strength, determination, and spirit that left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be sorely missed and forever remembered.

Marissa frequently gave her time, money, and belongings to those in need, never thinking twice before lending a helping hand. Her generosity extended to all living things. Throughout her life, she rescued countless animals, and there was never an animal in need that she could turn away.

A service in her honor will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth-El, 13260 S.R. 23, Granger, IN 46530. Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
