Matthew Allen Freeman, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend passed away peacefully at home on November 22 2024, at the age of 47. Born on April 9, 1977, in Coldwater, Michigan, Matthew's journey through life was marked by his passion for creativity, love for family, and an unmistakable joy that he brought to all he met.
Matthew was a proud graduate of cosmetology school, where he found fulfillment in bringing beauty and happiness to others. His artistic spirit extended beyond the salon; he was a true craftsman at heart, known for his remarkable ability to build with Legos and create memorable moments in the kitchen. Cooking brought him immense joy, especially savoring the New England Clam Chowder prepared by his son, Jason.
An avid adventurer, Matthew enjoyed boating and golfing, often cheering on his favorite team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was also a dedicated gamer, immersing himself in the world of Destiny, where he formed friendships that enriched his life. A warm summer storm or a delicious meal created fond memories, as he adored thunderstorms and cherished time spent camping during his youth.
Family meant everything to Matthew. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nga Le; children: Jason Luu, Sebastian Freeman, John Luu, and Christian Freeman. Matthew was fortunate to share life’s precious moments with his father, Terence Freeman; and his loving siblings: Chris (Elisa) Hayes, Trista Goodson, and Hope Goodson.
Matthew's heart will forever hold the memories of his late birth mother, Cindy (Blount) Myers, his adopted mother, Judy (Easterday) Freeman, and his cherished daughter, Haley Freeman. Though they passed before him, their love and influence shaped the wonderful person he became.
Matthew Freeman's life was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and light. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him as they carry forward the legacy of kindness and creativity that he so generously shared.
