Michael Fowler, 61, passed away in his home with his wife by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 11, 1963, he was the son of the late Thomas and Joan Fowler.
On September 15, 1989, Michael married the love of his life, Toni McIntyre. She survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are: his son, Max Fowler of Urbana, IL; his twin brother, John Fowler, brother Tom Fowler; sister, Julia Fowler Geisey; and his beloved pupper dog, Ollie.
Michael considered himself a total geek. He was known for his deep love of reading and movies, with a particular fondness for the scarier genres that captivated his imagination. His enthusiasm for storytelling extended into the world of gaming, where he found joy and camaraderie. Michael cherished the time spent with his wife, Toni, as they shared their love for video games. They had their own consoles near each other so they could share in a spirited environment of friendly competition and shared adventures.
In addition to his diverse interests, Michael was a dedicated professional, serving as the Director of Programming and Promotions at WNDU TV. His hard work and commitment to his craft were sources of pride, and he left a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. He will be dearly missed by many.
Per his request, no services are being held at this time.
