Mitchell Edward Morris

Mitchell Edward Morris, 90, died on June 28, 2025, in Deerfield, Illinois.

Mitchell was born January 19, 1935, in New York City to Florence and Julius Morris, immigrants from Eastern Europe. The family relocated to South Bend, Indiana. Mitchell attended Riley High School and graduated from Wabash College in 1957. He began his career at Clark Equipment Company and proceeded to start and operate several businesses. He was also an active volunteer for SCORE, consulting with budding entrepreneurs.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Jeff) Safron of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; son, Les (Ellen Gabovitch) of Indianapolis, Ind.; and his sister, Frances (Richard) Ugoretz of La Jolla, Calif. He is also survived by his grandsons: Matt (Kristin) Morris, Jonathan Safron, and Ethan Safron.

Mitchell was predeceased by his longtime partner, Carol Johnson. The family is grateful to Neil for the wonderful care he provided to Mitchell.

Services will be held at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery in Mishawaka, Ind., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (EDT), 11:00 a.m. (Chicago time). To access the recording, please click on this link -
