Neil Douglas passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025 surrounded by family. Neil was born on October 6, 1942 in South Bend, to the late William Kuhns and Catherine (Johnson) (Joseph) Herter.
Neil is survived by his loving partner of 42 years, Gayle Cossman: children, Keith, Dacia, Jesse Copeland and Douglas Kuhns; six grandchildren: Kory Howe, Antonio Mendoza, Jerome (Marissa) Copeland Sr., Trezden Copeland, Kaiden Kuhns and Liliana Dixon; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Kramer and Sue (Terry) Gantt; and brother, Vernon (Vickie) Herter.
Neil graduated from Eau Claire High School and then attended Marquette University.
Entertaining was Neil’s passion, whether it be music or using his gift of gab. He was a talented singer, song writer and musician, playing the keyboard or guitar with his band. He also traveled on the road fronting for several artists in the 60’s.
In the early 90’s, Neil combined his talent for talk and interest in politics to host Power Talk and Stand Up America on WAMJ 1580 talk radio.
Later in life, Neil helped many seniors with their healthcare needs as an agent with GE Financial and United Health Care.
Neil left an impression on everyone he met and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services for Neil will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Mission Hills Cemetery, 61453 Michigan 51, Niles, MI 49120, at 1:30 in the East Chapel. Burial will immediately follow.
