Mary Patricia (Fagaly) Potts. 94. passed away at Holy Cross Health Care in Mishawaka on September 28, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dr. William James Fagaly and Dorothy (Wheeler) Fagaly.

Patricia was a beloved wife and mother. a talented artist. and she served as a volunteer for many charities and causes throughout her adult life.

She is survived by two of her children, Marc Potts of Elkhart, and Christopher (Sheri) Potts of Michigan City; five grandchildren, Sasha Goldstein, Sarah Potts, Kelly (Jay) Quillin, Kristi (Fran) Potts, and Michael Potts, and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Philip Carlton Potts, daughter. Leslie Goldstein, grandson, Adam Potts, and her brother, William Fagaly, preceded her in death.

Patricia spent her youth in southern Indiana, living in Greendale and Lawrenceburg. She graduated from Lawrenceburg High School in 1949. and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomingtonin 1953 with a degree in Fine Arts. While at IU, Patricia was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and served as the design editor of the Arbutus. the school's yearbook. In 1953, she married Philip Carlton Potts of South Bend, Indiana.

Patricia was a volunteer at the Center for History from 1965 until her retirement in 2007. She servedas a costume curator for a large number of exhibits, was an editor of several catalogs, and had been an Honorary Trustee on the Board of Trustees for many years.

She was a co-founder of Pet Refuge, a member of its Board of Directors, and served as a volunteer for more than 20 years. During her many years of service to the community, she was also a member of the Service Guild for more than 20 years. where she volunteered at the Logan School, and was a member of both the Junior League and the Antiquarians.

She had a strong affinity for animals throughout her life and owned many dogs. She painted children's portraits for roughly 30 years. She also enjoyed traveling and the arts.

She will be missed.
