Richard John Siatkowski, 79, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
He was born September 9, 1941 in South Bend to the late John and Helen (Olejniczak) Siatkowski. Richard married the love of his life, Rosemary (Gasko) Siatkowski on April 30, 1989.
He graduated from St. Joseph High School and Acme Tool and Die School and later became an instructor. He worked at Uniroyal for 30 years where he was a Project Manager Engineer and then Lab Corp, where he worked in the accounting department.
Richard lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffet music and his favorite place in Key West was one particular harbor. Richard loved his fur babies, Sofia and Gretel, and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Rosemary; 3 daughters, Eileen Phillips of Cincinnati, OH, Charlene (Brad) McDonald of Mishawaka and Suzanne Novotny of Pleasant View, TN; son, Chris Varga of Osceola; 8 grandchildren; and many loving in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Flood; sister, Barbara Romine; and son, Andrew Varga.
A special thanks goes to Sidney, who was a loving granddaughter to her Papa and is a rock for her Nana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Friday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. in the church. Msgr. William Schooler will be officiating.
