Richard V Sieradzki, 98, of Granger, Indiana, a cherished husband, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1927 in South Bend, IN.

Richard proudly served in the U.S Navy during World War II. On August 25, 1951, he married the love of his life, Mary L. Benko, whom he shared 55 wonderful years with until her passing on October 31, 2006.

Richard lived a full and active life. He loved golfing, fishing, and hunting. If he was not on the golf course, you could find him at Long Lake, fishing or socializing with family and friends. He loved any time spent with his children and grandchildren, always attending any sporting or school events they were a part of. He also took pride in the home he built alongside his son, Bob. He would also help Bob with many roofing jobs and always had to be on the roof feeding shingles. Some of his favorite memories were going on ride-alongs, going to the shooting range, and Emergency Vehicle Operations Courses with Bob, a former police officer.

Even into his later years, Richard remained active and social. He golfed until the age of 96, and when he could no longer swing a club, he still rode along in the cart to enjoy the game he loved so much.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elinor (Sroda) Sieradzki, four of his six siblings, daughter-in-law Debbie L Sieradzki, and a grandson David Sieradzki. He is survived by his daughter Debra Kinzie of Granger; sons Richard (Cindy) Sieradzki of Greer, SC and Robert Sieradzki of Granger and; grandchildren Brian (Stacey) Kinzie, Craig (Brittney) Kinzie, Erin (Sean) Sawyer, and Ashleigh (Kenneth) Ledford, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In his passing, Richard leaves behind a world that was undeniably better for his presence. Richard will be remembered for his strength, humor, loyalty, and love for those around him, but most importantly, he will be remembered for always being there. He will be dearly missed, but his light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
