Richard Tremmel Jr.

April 7, 1968 — September 9, 2021

Richard Joseph Tremmel Jr. was born on April 7, 1968 in Passaic, New Jersey, to his mother Lois Iglody Tremmel and father, Richard J Tremmel Sr. He was the oldest of him and his brother James A Tremmel. Rich has resided in Granger, IN for 18 years. After graduating from South Moreland High School, Rich attended Indiana University of PA, where he earned his BA. While he was in college, Rich was in a fraternity where he gained the nickname, Trem dog. After graduating from Indiana University of PA, Rich began his career at Electric Specialties, in Plymouth IN, where he was a salesman and dedicated about 4 years. After that, he was employed at Utilimaster in Wakarusa IN for 6 years, also as a salesman. Then on June 20, 2005 he was employed at Morgan Olson in Sturgis MI, where he spent 16 years of his career and is where he earned his title of Senior Vice President of Sales. On October 30, 2005, Rich's whole world changed when his daughter, Carly Sophia Tremmel, was born. He absolutely loved being a dad! Carly was his adventure partner and absolute apple of his eye. They traveled all over and during the fall, you would be sure to find Carly and Rich cheering for their favorite team, Norte Dame.
In the summer of 2018, Rich met the love his life, Donna. In February of 2020, Rich asked Donna to marry him to which she replied, "YES!" On December 20, 2020, Donna and Rich became husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends. With marrying Donna, Rich gained three step-daughters and three sons-in-law, along with two grandchildren, who he was over the moon about.

Rich loved working, swimming, running, Notre Dame, cuddling with Donna, hanging with Carly and connecting with people. If you couldn't find him doing one of those things, you could find him working out on Welche Farms with his father-in-law, Lee Welche. His goal was to turn the land into the most magical place for his grandkids and family to explore. His touch and attention to detail can be found all over the land.Rich passed away on September 9th, 2021.
