Robert "Bob" Pettifor

Robert (Bob) Pettifor, 90, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on May 5, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Grace (Loucks) Pettifor; his parents, Arthur and Ruth (Scholl) Pettifor; and brother, Dale (Phyllis) Pettifor. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Bernice (Schultz) Pettifor; brothers, Dean (Sharon) Pettifor, Ivan (Carroll) Pettifor and Ken (Renna) Pettifor; his four children; Elaine (Mike) Proctor, Susan (Mike) Ingle, Doug (Sheri) Pettifor and David (Laura) Pettifor; grandchildren, Gary (Gretchen) Ingle, Heather (Zack) Boller, Andrew (Brittany) Proctor, Nicole (Jordan) Alexander, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Pettifor and Justin Pettifor; and his great-grandchildren, Gideon, Gemma, Cyanne, Obadiah, Isaiah, Levi, Cyrus and Makai.

Bob graduated from Bethel College in 1960. He served as a teacher in the Mishawaka school system and later as a school counselor at John Young Middle School for 35 years before retiring in 1997.  Bob was actively involved at Granger Missionary Church. He enjoyed singing hymns and would often entertain family and friends with a spontaneous song. Bob enjoyed painting and was very talented in his woodworking projects. He, along with his wife valued family time and volunteering for various ministries with their church.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Granger Missionary Church, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service officiated by Lead Pastor Jason Dickinson.
