Sara "Sally" B. (Babic) Abbott

Sara “Sally” B. Abbott passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 6, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania to the late Frank Joseph and Anna Katherine (Hartz) Babic on October 8, 1931.

Sally is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Jr.; their children, Susan (David) Schmidt, Laurel Landauer and Thomas (Cynthia Yule) Abbott III; 4 grandchildren; sister, Anne Babic, and nephew, Keith Craig.

Sally was ahead of her time - concerned about the environment, sustainable living and minimizing her footprint on this planet. She enjoyed gardening, riding her bicycle, walking in the woods, seeing the seasons change and listening to the birds.

Sally worked for St. Patrick’s County Park until her retirement and volunteered at Fernwood Botanical Garden.

A private ceremony will be held in celebration of Sally’s life and impact.
