Steve Howard Muff, 75, of Niles, Michigan, passed away on June 29, 2025 at Memorial Hospital after a gallbladder surgery complication.

The world is a less happy place today without Steve's laugh and joyfulness that he shared with everyone.

Steve was born on November 28, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, to Arden Muff and Evelyn (McBain) Haskins. Steve was a proud U.S. Marine and Vietnam War veteran. He served his country with honor and later worked as a maintenance supervisor for Bayer in Mishawaka, Indiana, for ten years.

Steve was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Known for his quick wit and unmistakable laugh, he brought humor and warmth wherever he went. He and his wife, Patricia Ann (Poteraj) Muff, shared 45 years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary Muff and Mike Haskins; and daughter-in-law, Samantha Holys.

Steve is survived by: his wife, Patricia; children, Tony (Roberta) Muff of Missouri, Tom (Megan) Muff of Michigan, James (Vanessa) Muff of Arkansas, Sara (Eric Noel) Muff of Ohio, and Jonathan Muff of Arizona; grandchildren, Alexandria (Emery) Staten, Tim (Cheltzie) Muff, Austin Muff, Kaylee Muff, Taylor Muff, Danielle Muff, and Ayden Muff; great-grandchildren, Timothy and Greyson; sister, Christine Muff; and brother, Ted Haskins.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the family’s home: 70472 Brush Rd., Niles, MI 49120.
