Stevensville, MI

In accordance with God’s plan, Wendy L. Nash, 59, of Stevensville, MI passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.

Wendy was born to George and Barbara Eckel on November 30, 1963 and was raised with her younger sister, Lorrie in St. Joseph, MI. She graduated with her class at Lakeshore High School, Stevensville, MI in 1981.

Wendy began her working career at D & W Food Centers, Stevensville, MI. Other employers during her life included, Schuler’s Restaurant, Stevensville, MI, Serv-U-Success, CK Catering Service, North Shore Inn, Grand Crossing Bar and Grill, with her final employer being Nash Distributing.

Two children were welcomed and loved by Wendy; her beloved son, James A. Krejci, Jr. and precious daughter, Allyson M. Krejci.

Wendy was preceded in death by her niece, Jenna Brink; her loving Aunts – Donna Hall, Nancy Thorton and Marilyn Mansfield; her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Elsie Litke, and her paternal grandparents, George and Pearl Eckel.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Nash, Stevensville, MI; son, Jim Krejci and daughter-in-law, Rebecca, Stevensville, MI; daughter, Allyson, Stevensville, MI; her parents, George and Barbara Eckel (Litke), St. Joseph, MI; sister, Lorrie Brink, Benton Harbor, MI; niece, Morgan Franklin, St. Joseph, MI; Dave’s parents, Gerald and Diana Nash; Stevensville, MI; step-daughter, Samantha Nash, Muskegon, MI, step-son, Wyatt Nash, Kalamazoo, MI; as well as many aunts, uncles, and loving cousins; and the family dogs, horses, goat and chickens.

You may remember Wendy as fun-loving, bubbly, upbeat, with a sweet spirit. She was a friend to everyone, a hard worker, with an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the room who was adored by her family and enjoyed by her friends.

Wendy’s favorite past-times included watching her children play sports, bowling, playing volleyball, eating out, meeting with friends, loving on her animals, trips to Chicago and other various weekend excursions.

An open house to remember her is scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Benton Harbor Moose, 2180 Union Avenue, Benton harbor, MI 49022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
