Charles R. Culp

Charles R. Culp, 84, passed away May 27, 2023 at Memorial Hospital.

Born November 30, 1938, Charles was the son of the late Everett and Edna Culp. He was also preceded in death by 3 siblings and survived by 1 sibling.

On September 14, 1963, Charles married the love of his life, Mary Louise Stockman. She survives him. To their union, they were blessed with 3 children: Bob Culp of Walkerton, Randy (Holly) Culp of Carmel and Christina (Gale) Bloom of South Bend. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Jared, Amelia, Jenna, Dayna, Megan, Keegan and Lauren; and one great-grandchild, Brooklyn.

Charles was a loving and devoted husband and Father and especially enjoyed being a Grandpa. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from IU and remained a devout IU fan. He was a hard worker who was devoted to serving his community.  He retired from law enforcement, after more than 3 decades, from the Mishawaka Police Department and later, with the US Marshals.  He also proudly served in the Army.

He will be missed.
