Jeffrey Lee Avara

Jeffrey Lee Avara passed away peacefully from cancer with his family by his side on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the age of 37. He was born on September 15, 1985 in South Bend, Indiana to Jeffrey Lane and Linda Lee (Habel) Avara. They survive.

Also left to cherish Jeff’s memory are his siblings, Trisha (Michael) VanHuffel, Matthew (Ali Schrubba) Avara and Mariah Avara; nieces, Sydnie, Briar, and Lynlee; step-mom, Lynn Avara-Stover; 2nd mom, Tami Kitto; girlfriend, Jesse Brown, their dogs, Snoop and Kawai; and many, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents and 5 uncles.

 Jeff had the biggest heart and was selfless and genuine. Although, he could be stubborn at times, he loved with everything he had. He also loved children and often said he wanted a dozen someday. Jeff liked to drive fast and wear his clothes at least 2 sizes too big. He enjoyed many different sports.

 You may have known him by how he hooked you up with food or maybe you partake. He knew a lot of people and touched a lot of hearts. In his last days, Jeff was able to tell his loved ones goodbye and that meant the world to them. He was the best big brother, son and friend.  

Jeff asked that his life be celebrated with a party, so on Sunday, April 2 from 12-4p.m., please join Jeff's family and friends at Castle Manor, located at Merrifield Park, 801 Indiana Ave, Mishawaka.
