Kathleen R. (Treash) Radtke

Kathy passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning after a long struggle against COPD. She was surrounded in her home by her family members.

Kathy’s parents were, John Treash SR. and Rita Treash, they preceded her in death, and also younger brother, John C. Treash.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Radtke; sons, Gary P. Brooks, Shawn M. Brooks and Charles Brooks; brother, Joseph (Cindy) Treash; grandchildren, Gary W. (Angela)Brooks, Alexis M. (Ethan) Brooks, Ayden Brooks, Brandon Fraser and Hannah Brooks; great-grandchildren, Tanner Brooks, Lenora Brooks and Oliviana Renes.

 Kathy graduated from South Bend Clay High School.

Kathy loved arts and crafts. Her entire basement was constructed for her to create many items for her family and friends. Additionally, she had a large outside shed that housed tools and equipment for this hobby. During the summer she delighted in watching her family swim in her backyard pool.

Kathy worked for the South Bend Schools for many years as an instructional assistant. She traveled in many states and lived for a short while in Iceland.

There will be a private gathering for family.
