Richard J. Cook

Richard J. Cook, 81, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

He was the beloved husband, of Charlene (Wilkerson) Cook; and the loving father, of Donna (Larry) Venturelli, Debra (Michael) Daugharty and Richard (Eileen) Cook Jr.; proud grumpa of 7; and great-grumpa of 11; and kind uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Rick was the devoted son of the late Edward Cook and Vera (Morgan) Cook-Alexander; and dear brother, to the late Edward Cook Jr. and Thomas Cook.

Rick was a 60 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers working as an electrician for Local 134 in Chicago.

Memorial Donations for Rick can be made to, Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Mary’s Home, 2325 N. Lakewood Ave., Chicago, IL 60614.

Visitation for Richard will take place on Thursday, 4-20, at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel from 4-7 p.m. A vigil will be performed at 4 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, 4-21 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 N. Fir Rd. Granger, at 10 a.m. with visitation an hour prior.

Burial will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Chicago.
