Ronnie Armour Obituary

Ronnie Lee Armour, 74, passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2023, after complications from surgery.

Born May 8, 1948 in Mercer, PA, he was the son of the late George and Lois (Yaw) Armour.

On April 8, 1972, Ronnie married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Scheibelhut. They were just a few days shy from celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary. They were blessed with two children, Lisa (Shawn) Todd of Granger and Scot (Wendy) Armour of Granger. Also left to cherish his memory are 8 grandchildren: Nathan, Abigail and Alexis Ludwig, Payton, Reese and Caden Armour, and Anna and Carly Todd; three siblings, Eugene (Jan) Armour of Ontario, NY, Brad (Kathy) Armour of Granger and Barbara Chapman of Granger; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Ronnie lived life to the fullest but in a humble and often quiet way. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and was always a hard worker. He graduated from Penn High School in 1966 where he played basketball and ran cross country.  He proudly served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1970. He worked for Dodge Manufacturing for over 30 years.  He was the former Vice President of United Steelworkers Local Union 1191. He retired in 2014 from Farrington Apartments after working there in maintenance for 10 years. He was a big Notre Dame and Cubs fan and enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, but most importantly, spending time with his family and supporting his grandkids in all their sporting activities. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11 from 4-7 p.m. at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd.
